What kind of person is Rukia Kuchiki?

Rukia Kuchiki is a female Soul Reaper with a short bob who was dispatched to Karakura Town, where Ichigo lives, on a mission to protect humans from Hollows in the Deputy Soul Reaper Arc. Rukia Kuchiki has a strong-minded personality and shows no mercy towards men such as Ichigo. However, she is also a person who cares about her friends and is willing to sacrifice her own life if it means her friends can be saved. One of the characteristics of Japanese is that they speak in an old-fashioned way, and sometimes speak Japanese that is not used in modern times. (For example, Tawake！, たわけ！, fool！ and Kisama, 貴様, old japanese first person.) Rukia also likes to draw and thinks she's good at it, but many of her drawings are objectively strange and even make Ichigo wry smile. Rukia Kuchiki is from Rukongai, the same as Renji Abarai, who is her childhood friend, and was born in Inuzuri, the least safe city. About Rukia Kuchiki Zanpakutou

Shikai：Sode no shirayuki (袖白雪)

Rukia's name Zanpakutou is Sode no shirayuki, which is a line used in Japanese haiku and means snow on one's sleeve. Trigger Command is ”Dance (舞え Mae)”

When this Zanpakutou is activated, the sword turns pure white like snow, and the user can control snow. Toushirou Hitsugaya has Zanpakutou, which can manipulate ice, so there are some similarities. This Zanpakutou was thought to have the ability to manipulate snow and lower the temperature of its surroundings, but it turns out that it is actually a Zanpakutou that reduces the user's body below freezing, In The Thousand-Year Blood War,

Sode no Shirayuki has three techniques that appear in the work.

Some no mai・Tsukishiro (初の舞・月白)

The meaning of “Some no mai (初の舞)” is “First dance” and “Tsukishiro (白月)” means “white moon”.

A technique developed through training with Kaien Shiba. A technique in which when the user draws a circle with the sword, the sky and ground within that area are frozen. The opponent frozen in ice will then shatter into pieces. As the name suggests, by drawing a full moon-like circle on the ground, it freezes the sky far above. San no mai・Shirahune (参の舞・白刀)

The meaning of "San no mai(参の舞)" is "Third dance" and "Shirahune(白刀)" means "White sword". In Japan, it is used to mean a sword whose handle, scabbard, and other metal fittings are decorated with silver, and Rukia's Zanpakutou is also decorated with white or silver.

It can attack with an ice blade formed from moisture in the atmosphere on the extension of the blade. Also, the length of the blade can be changed freely. User can attack even if this sword is broken.

Bankai : Hakka no Togame (白霞罸)
